Kico Terms of Service

Effective date: October 21, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Unifying Systems LLC, 5900 Balcones Drive, Suite 19133, Austin, TX 78731, USA (“Unifying Systems”, “we”, “us”). They govern your use of Kico, including kico.dev, app.kico.dev, agents.kico.dev and the preview sites at *.apps.kico.dev (together, “Kico” or the “Service”).

If you use Kico for an organization, you accept these terms for that organization and confirm you have authority to do so. In that case “you” includes the organization. If your organization has signed a separate written agreement with us, that agreement wins where it conflicts with these terms.

1. The Service and the beta

Kico is a workspace for building and running software with AI agents. It is in an invite-only beta. Features may change, be added or be removed, and the Service may have bugs or interruptions. We may limit, pause or end access to the beta at any time.

2. Accounts

  • Access is by invitation. You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract.
  • Give accurate information and keep your password and connected accounts secure. You are responsible for activity under your account, including what agents do on your instructions or schedules.
  • Tell us promptly at hello@kico.dev if you believe your account has been compromised.
  • Organization Owners and Admins control their organization’s membership and settings. Kico administrators can, for support and operation, view account and organization information and sign in as a user for a limited time, as described in the Privacy Policy.

3. Your content

“Your Content” means everything you or your organization put into Kico or have Kico produce for you: code, files, prompts, messages, mail, data from connected services and databases, and the output of agents.

  • You own Your Content. As between you and us, you or your organization keep all rights in it. Output that agents produce for you is yours, to the extent the law and the model providers’ terms allow.
  • License to us. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, process, transmit and display Your Content only as needed to provide and secure the Service, to act on your instructions (including sending it to the AI models and services you choose), and to comply with law. For organizations that opt in, it also covers training Kico’s own local model as described in the Privacy Policy. This license ends when Your Content is deleted, except for copies in backups until they expire.
  • Your responsibility. You confirm you have the rights and permissions needed for Your Content, including any personal data in it, and for connecting the accounts and databases you connect.
  • Feedback. If you send us suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use Kico to:

  • break any law, or infringe or misappropriate anyone’s rights;
  • build, host or send malware, phishing, spam or unsolicited bulk mail;
  • attack, scan or probe systems you are not authorized to test, or try to bypass sandbox isolation, network restrictions, rate limits or access controls of Kico or anyone else;
  • access accounts, data or systems without permission, including through connectors or data sources;
  • mine cryptocurrency or run workloads that are not related to building and running your software, or that unreasonably burden the Service;
  • harass, threaten, defraud or impersonate others, or have agents do so through mail or messages;
  • generate or distribute child sexual abuse material, or content that sexually exploits anyone;
  • violate the terms or usage policies of the AI model providers or connected services you use;
  • resell or provide the Service to third parties without our written permission;
  • reverse engineer the Service, except where the law allows it despite this restriction.

We may investigate suspected violations and suspend or remove content, sandboxes, agents or accounts to protect the Service, other users or third parties.

5. AI output

Kico uses AI models that can be wrong, incomplete, insecure or inappropriate, and agents may act on that output. Agents can run code, change files, send mail and messages, and use connected services within the permissions and approval rules you set.

  • Review output and actions before relying on them, especially code you deploy, data you change and messages that reach other people.
  • Output may resemble content generated for others, and it may not be protected by copyright.
  • You are responsible for how you use output and for the actions you let agents take without asking.

6. Third-party services and models

Kico connects to services we do not control: AI model providers (such as Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, OpenRouter, NVIDIA, xAI and Reflection AI, or model servers you add), Git hosts such as GitHub, connector vendors such as Google, Slack, Linear or Notion, and Tailscale. When you use them:

  • their own terms and policies apply between you and them, and you are responsible for complying with them;
  • when you use your own keys, subscriptions or accounts, any charges or limits from those providers are yours;
  • we are not responsible for their availability, accuracy, security or how they handle data.

7. Our property

We and our licensors own the Service, including its software, design and brand. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service under these terms during your access. Open-source components are licensed under their own licenses.

8. Availability and support

We aim to keep Kico available but do not promise any uptime or response time during the beta. We may perform maintenance, release updates that restart parts of the Service, or change features. Keep your own copies of anything important: you can download project files, and you can push code to your own repositories.

9. Disclaimer

THE SERVICE AND ALL OUTPUT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTY THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT DATA WILL NOT BE LOST.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW:

  • NEITHER PARTY IS LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA OR GOODWILL, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THEIR POSSIBILITY;
  • OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AND ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (USD 100).

These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited by law, or to your obligations under section 11.

11. Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify Unifying Systems and its officers, employees and agents against third-party claims, and related losses and reasonable costs, arising from Your Content, your use of the Service in breach of these terms or the law, or actions agents took on your instructions or under rules you set.

12. Suspension and termination

  • You may stop using Kico at any time. To delete your account, write to hello@kico.dev or ask your organization’s administrator; an Owner can delete an organization in its settings.
  • We may suspend or end your access, or your organization’s, if you breach these terms, if required by law, to protect the Service or others, or when the beta ends. Where reasonable, we will give notice and a chance to export Your Content.
  • When an organization is deleted, its data is removed for good after 30 days, as described in the Privacy Policy.
  • Sections 3 (license for backups and feedback), 5, 7, 9, 10, 11, 13 and 14 survive termination.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. The state and federal courts located in Travis County, Texas, have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute relating to these terms or the Service, and both parties consent to that jurisdiction. Either party may seek injunctive relief in any competent court to protect its intellectual property or confidential information.

14. General

  • Changes. We may update these terms. We will post the new version with a new effective date and, for material changes, notify you by email or in Kico before they take effect. Continued use after that means you accept them.
  • Privacy. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data.
  • Assignment. You may not assign these terms without our consent. We may assign them in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
  • Entire agreement. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement about the Service, unless you have a separate signed agreement with us.
  • Severability and waiver. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Not enforcing a provision is not a waiver.
  • Export and sanctions. You will comply with US export control and sanctions laws and will not use Kico from a sanctioned country or as a restricted party.
  • Notices. We send notices to the email of your account. Send notices to us at hello@kico.dev or by mail to the address below.
