  1. Run the installer. Kico opens when it's done, no admin rights needed.
  2. Until our installer is signed, Windows may say it protected your PC. Click More info, then Run anyway.

Linux

64-bit (x86_64). Version 0.1.1.

  1. Debian and Ubuntu, from the folder you saved it to: sudo apt install ./kico-desktop_0.1.1_amd64.deb
  2. Any other distribution: chmod +x Kico-0.1.1-x86_64.AppImage, then run it.

WordPress

Kico for WordPress 0.2.2. WordPress 6.9 or newer, PHP 7.4 or newer.

  1. In wp-admin: Plugins, Add New, Upload Plugin, then activate it.
  2. Settings, Kico, Connect to Kico. Stuck? See troubleshooting.

The desktop apps check for updates when they start and every six hours, and install them on the next restart. A company can point them at its own Kico and its own update feed; see Support.
